An award-winning toy shop has lodged plans to take over a prominent unit in the city centre.
Educational toy brand Engino is hoping to set up a store, exhibition space and cafe at the former Pure Electric store at the Castle Meadow entrance to Castle Quarter.
The business, which is known for its STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) related products, is looking to divide the unit into a space for a shop, play area, "museum-style exhibit" and classrooms.

A cafe with indoor and outdoor seating facilities would also serve food and refreshments.
Planning documents submitted to Norwich City Council have claimed the project is part of Engino's ambition to develop "an exciting, modern and creative entertainment, leisure and edutainment concept".

"Loved by all ages and learning abilities, the brand inspires and engages people in the world of STEM and offers children and parents a fun and educational alternative to traditional construction toys," the business added.
"The franchise will draw family end users to the STEM toy retail and exhibition areas while serving food and refreshment to the area as a whole."
The Castle Quarter unit has been vacant since Pure Electric closed its doors in September 2022.
A decision is hoped to be made on the application by December 26.
