Plans which would have seen a former sex shop converted into a new retail space and apartment have been withdrawn.
The building at 39 St Augustines Street has been vacant since the Private Shop closed down in 2022.
London-based firm REH Builders had hoped to convert the ground floor of the site into a new retail or office space.
The plans would have also seen the existing living accommodation on the first and second floor - which has also been empty since last year - into one independent apartment.

No information had been shared regarding the type of business that would have moved into the building, but application documents stated the proposals would have represented an "improvement in amenity in the area".
However, the proposals have since been withdrawn before even being discussed by the city council's planning committee.
The applicant shared no further details about the decision and it is unclear if a second application will be submitted in the future.
