Norfolk County Council is warning anyone with solar panels on their property to be cautious of scam telephone calls.
Somebody with a solar panel system recently reported being cold called and offered "a free government survey for solar panels".
The caller then attempted to make a home visit.

The council has reiterated that solar panel systems do not generally need servicing but can benefit from being cleaned if dirty.
It said: "Our advice is always to be very wary of any approach made in a telephone cold call and never agree to services, to having work done or for someone to visit your home if approached in this manner.
"We also advise that solar panel owners should always talk to their supplier before allowing any work or ‘maintenance’ to take place on their panels"
