From mulled wine to festive sandwiches, there are plenty of Christmas treats to try in Norwich this winter.

Here are five of our favourite festive foods to pick up in the city.

Norwich Market

The award-winning market is a hotspot for foodies across the city and this continues over the holiday season.

Sir Toby's Beers

Sir Toby's Beers is selling the traditional German mulled wine, glühwein, to keep you warm over colder nights.

The popular market stall is even offering the option to "supercharge" the drink with either brandy, spiced rum or amaretto.

The New York-style sandwich shop is offering a monster Christmas sandwich.

Ho-Ho-Hodega contains roast turkey, sage and onion stuffing, brussel sprouts slaw, melba toast, roast potatoes, brie and Christmas pudding mayo.

The award-winning chippy in the heart of the Norwich Lanes is back with a festive favourite.

Its Christmas dinner with turkey sausages and battered stuffing balls is now on the menu, offering a Christmas twist to your fish and chips.

The shop in Lower Goat Lane has also released a behind-the-scenes sneak peek on social media of the team making the stuffing balls.

The Georgian hotel is going all out this Christmas with the return of its pop-up igloos.  

It is offering a special nutcracker-themed afternoon tea running through winter until January 8.

Desserts on offer include Sugar Plum Fairy Gateau Opera, Snowflake Macaron, Mr Ginger in the Land of Sweets and Under the Christmas Tree Shot.

Children's, vegetarian, gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free options are all available.

The hotel is also putting on a special apres-ski fondue menu with pigs in blankets, charcuterie meats and crusty bread.

The Bucket List

The Bucket List, which has permanent locations in Norwich and Cromer, has released its Christmas specials.

The firm, which is also doing pop-ups across the region this winter, is selling loaded fries with pigs out of blankets, cranberry, cheesy fondue, crispy onions and aioli.

And those at the fixed locations can also get a wedge of brie on the top.
