Tributes have been paid to a beloved cat who spent much of his life in a city pub.
Maraud was a pub cat at the Birdcage in the Norwich Lanes which closed permanently in October 2020 and has since become The Drawing Rooms.
The 19-year-old passed away from old age at home on Wednesday.
Since the announcement of his death, tributes have been pouring in for the cat who was well-known to businesses and shoppers in the area.
Lauren Gregory, Maraud's owner, said: "Many people remember him because he sat very stoically on the bar and even ate chips from peoples' tables.
"I'm really touched that so many people are sharing memories.

"He has a really important place in our hearts and it turns out so many other people's hearts too."
Debra Knowles said on Facebook that Maraud was "the coolest cat in the Lanes" who lived "a long and happy life".
Rick Lennox described him as "a true Lanes legend" and Bethan Harvey said "I feel like he's been around all my life".
Ms Gregory adopted Maraud when he was a kitten back in 2005 and he lived at the Birdcage until the coronavirus lockdowns in 2020.
A representative for the Norwich Lanes said: "Maraud was a beautiful cat that spent most of his life in his favourite pub or exploring the rest of the Norwich Lanes.
"We will be raising a glass tonight - farewell our fluffy friend."
