The Christmas lights may already be on in the city centre but when is the appropriate time to put your tree up at home? We asked the people of the Fine City.
Sisters Emily, 23, and Georgia, who turned 29 this week, both from Hethersett, had a slight difference in opinions.
Emily said that decorations should go up on December 1 "because Christmas is in December”.
Georgia felt more festive than her sister and said: “I just think, once my birthday’s done, I’m just going to go for it.
"That’s this weekend. So why not? The longer the merrier.”
Alfie Lee, 17, from Costessey, was much stronger with his opinions, saying decorations should go up “earliest December 14. No earlier".
He added: “That’s not late. December is Christmas time. This is November. It’s not Christmas time!

Hallie, 18, who lives in Hingham, thinks decorations should go up on December 1 as “once it’s December, it’s then Christmas”.
Coco Ying, 30, who grew up in Aylsham, agrees with decorations going up on December 1 but admits this is a new thing for her.
She said: “It was always a few weeks before Christmas we put the decorations up, but now that I’m more on my own it’s the first week of December.

“My parents were always busy, so that’s why they’d always go up later.”
Donna Rawlings, 45, from Heartsease, believes it’s appropriate to put the decorations up around December 10.
She added: “I don’t like the clutter. When you’ve got young children I think it makes the run up to Christmas too long.”
