A driver has been rescued from their car after it overturned during a crash in Norwich.

Police were called to Bull Close Road at 9.35am today following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

The car had rolled on to its side, shattering the windows.

Fire crews from Sprowston and Carrow attended and used hydraulic rescue equipment to rescue the driver.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further care.

The road was cleared at 11.19am.
