An ongoing dispute between a disabled man and the city council has been escalated to the High Court.
Emad Hamami was supported by friends, family and neighbours to halt a planned November 16 eviction from his home in Grasmere Close, Earlham by Norwich City Council.
Mr Hamami has lived in the home for 13 years, where he lives with his two children and carer.
The three-year battle with the council has taken a new turn after a date to take the case to the High Court was set for Wednesday, December 6.

The union supporting Mr Hamami, Acorn, has said they will be there to prevent any further eviction attempts.
Chairman of Acorn Norwich, Ewan Milne, said: "We feel that the council don't recognise this as a human matter - of fighting to keep a family in their home - not if they're willing to summon the High Court bailiffs, who are permitted to use violent force, to throw a disabled man and his children out onto the streets in the middle of winter.
"They aren't going to get away with this and whenever the bailiffs will be there, we will also be there."
Norwich City Council declined to comment on the matter.
