A private chef who has been offering gourmet restaurant-style food at homes and holiday lets for 15 years has started a new boozy venture.

Avril Read, is one of the city’s most sought-after chefs, offering a very unique service for folk to experience fine dining from the comfort of their own home.

Sprowston-based Chef 2 Dine 4 even takes care of the washing up.

Avril, 56, said: “I like that I am able to have a personal rapport with my clients and I am able to have a chat with them while I'm cooking.

“I receive feedback straight from the client's mouth after their meal and I like the personal touch, rather than being hidden in a kitchen when working in restaurants.”

“I couldn’t find a business that provided exactly what I wanted and it was frustrating.

“There is clearly a gap in the market for this and I think people will enjoy it.”

The idea is that the horsebox will provide bottomless brunch on the go.

Avril will turn up at the client's address with her trailer and provide 90 minutes of unlimited drinks alongside a brunch menu.

Drinks will include cocktails, mocktails, prosecco and champagne.
