A sinkhole has closed part of a key road into Norwich city centre.
The sinkhole appeared this morning in the A147 Bracondale road close to the Conesford Drive junction just after the turning for King Street, in the uphill lane.
Police have put up a cordon and are on the scene to guide traffic around the hole, using one of the lanes for downhill traffic.

Police are advising people to avoid the area where possible.
There is minor traffic in the area as the lane has been closed.
A spokeswoman from Norfolk County Council said: "A lane closure has been put in place around the hole and we are arranging for a team to investigate the cause of the subsidence and get a repair made.
She added: "Until we know the cause of the problem we can’t say how long it will take to fix it but we will provide an update once we know more."
