Staff at a city factory have received an early Christmas gift that will certainly make them stand out from the crowd during festive celebrations.

Workers at the Condimentum mill in Easton have been given Colman’s mustard-themed jumpers and hats featuring the classic yellow with the brand's red logo and bull design.

Although the clothing came as a surprise, the staff were very pleased owing to their close connection to the brand synonymous with the Fine City.

Many staff are ex-employees of Colman’s and moved over to Condimentum after the Carrow site was closed by owner Unilever in 2020, with the team at Condimentum responsible for taking over milling.

“We are all really passionate about the brand."

Mustard powder and mint are processed at the site for Colman's sauces, maintaining strong local links.

Jamie added: “We all stand behind the brand and obviously the local connection that we have got to it.”

Whilst many people enjoy outlandish jumpers during the festive period, the bold colours have seen some staff compared to Minions from the popular films.

The jumpers, scarves and beanies are all available to purchase from notjustclothing.co.uk, with 50pc of the proceeds going to food bank charity The Trussell Trust.

The Christmas clothing arrived at the same time as Colman's, which was founded in Norwich in 1814, reestablishing its links with Norwich City Football Club - which it sponsored between 1997 and 2001.

A 'Bring the Heat' advertising campaign will feature during the Canaries' festive fixtures, starting ahead of the big East Anglian derby fixture at Ipswich on December 16.
