A mum battling cancer has received her own Christmas miracle after being allowed to return home to spend the festive time of year with her family.
Rebecca Turner has been in hospital fighting stage three melanoma cancer for six months and says it still hasn’t sunk in that she will be spending Christmas at home with her partner and daughter.
The 31-year-old was admitted at the end of May and has been between the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital and Priscilla Bacon Lodge for most of the year.

“I was scared, I was, but I was determined to keep fighting," said Rebecca. "I couldn't die. I can't leave Arielle without a mum.”
And now, six months after her fight began, Rebecca has returned to her Hethersett home to spend Christmas with her family.
She continued: “At the moment I am off treatment, I was having immunotherapy through IV access, but my body cannot handle it.

“I have had pneumonia three times in three months and nearly died of sepsis so we have decided my body needs a break.”
Recent scans have shown that Rebecca’s condition has improved and she is expected to resume treatment in the new year, having had a 7cm mass found in her upper back earlier this year.
Small changes could mean she has to go back to hospital though and moving home hasn’t come without its difficulties.

Rebecca said: “Because of where the cancer is, it hurts to lie down.
"So I come with a lot of extra pillows and things to help my bed sores which leaves my partner Jonny with very little room.
“But it has been so lovely being able to put Arielle to bed.”
Rebecca is determined to stay well enough to give her daughter the most magical Christmas to date and hopes to be there to watch her open her presents on the big day.
