From Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to The Wizard of Oz, there is no place like Norwich Theatre Royal with a stellar line-up of West End musicals heading to the city in 2024.
All these shows still have tickets on sale, but be quick as they are selling fast.
1. The Wizard of Oz
When: February 27-March 3
Direct from The London Palladium, The Wizard of Oz is heading to Norwich on tour and it stars RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne as The Wicked Witch Of The West.
Join Dorothy, Toto and friends for a trip down the Yellow Brick Road, featuring the original songs from the Oscar-winning film plus new ones by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
2. Bonnie & Clyde
When: March 12-16
Bonnie & Clyde, winner of Best New Musical at the What’sOnStage Awards 2023, is on tour following two seasons on London's West End.
Discover the electrifying story of love, adventure and crime that captured the attention of an entire nation, starring Coronation Street's Catherine Tyldesley.
3. Shrek the Musical
When: March 26-30
Leave your troubles Far Far Away as Shrek the Musical is back at Norwich Theatre Royal by popular demand.
Join Shrek and Donkey on a whirlwind adventure as they set out on a quest to defeat the dragon and rescue Princess Fiona (Strictly's Joanne Clifton).

4. Calendar Girls
When: April 2-6
Gary Barlow and Tim Firth's Calendar Girls the Musical is inspired by a true story.
Following the death of a much-loved husband, a group of ordinary women in a small Yorkshire Women’s Institute create a nude calendar to raise money for charity.
5. Jesus Chris Superstar
When April 8-13
Jesus Christ Superstar, with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, follows the series of events during the final weeks of the life of Jesus - as seen through the eyes of Judas.
The powerful score includes I Don't Know How to Love Him, Superstar and Heaven on Their Minds.

6. Grease
When: June 3-8
After a whirlwind summer romance, Danny and Sandy are unexpectedly reunited when she transfers to Rydell High.
This new production is grittier and more glamorous than ever before, with hit songs including Summer Nights and Greased Lightnin’.
7. Everybody's Talking About Jamie
When: June 24-29
Everybody's Talking About Jamie stars West End sensation Ivano Turco in the title role, Strictly's Kevin Clifton as Hugo/Loco Chanelle and The X Factor winner Sam Bailey as Miss Hedge.
Supported by his loving mum and surrounded by his friends, 16-year-old Jamie New overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness into the spotlight.
8. &Juliet
When: July 30-August 3
This Broadway and West End smash-hit jukebox musical is touring the UK in 2024, featuring pop anthems by Britney Spears, Katy Perry, the Backstreet Boys and more.
&Juliet flips the script on the greatest love story ever told and asks, what would happen next if she didn’t end it all over Romeo?

9. A Chorus Line
When: August 27-31
On a Broadway stage in 1975, 17 performers are put through their paces in the final audition for a new musical - but only eight will make it through.
Celebrate the lives of theatre’s unsung heroes, as they tell stories of ambition, shattered hopes and what it really costs to follow your dreams.
10. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
When: September 24-29
This musical for all the family is bursting with unforgettable songs by the Sherman Brothers such as Toot Sweets, Truly Scrumptious and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Join inventor Caractacus Potts (Adam Garcia) as he restores a broken-down racing car with the help of his children Jemima and Jeremy, which they soon discover has magical powers.

11. Come From Away
When: October 15-26
Come From Away is heading on a UK tour direct from the West End and it has also received critical acclaim on Broadway.
It is based on the incredible true story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were grounded in Canada during the wake of 9/11.
