A man in his 70s has died after a car overturned as it crashed into a water-filled ford.
Police were called at 9.41am today to Mill Lane, near Newton Flotman, after a car had overturned in Shotesham Ford.
Emergency services, including Norfolk Fire and Rescue, discovered a Toyota Yaris in the ford where the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mill Lane has been closed for the majority of the day and a police helicopter was also spotted over the A140 nearby after the single-vehicle incident.
Police drones were also spotted this morning.
Officers are keen to hear from any witnesses that could help the investigation - in particular, from anyone who may have seen a red Toyota Yaris travelling between Trowse and Shotesham St Mary on Wednesday evening.
Anyone with information can contact Norfolk Police on 101 quoting the incident number 547 of December 13.
