Norwich's newest independent eatery has seen two titans of the city food scene team up to launch a daytime café and evening pizza restaurant.
Slice on the Lanes recently opened at 3 Bridewell Alley, in the former home of Sicily Trattoria, and it is a collaboration between chef Jeff Taylor and baker Kat Doonan.
Mr Taylor is also behind The Bun X burger joint at Micawbers Tavern in nearby Pottergate.
Ms Doonan, who lives in the city, started sweet treats delivery business Kookie Ko during the pandemic and she now posts her products across the country.

Mr Taylor said: "Slice on the Lanes is multi-faceted - we are a cosy café during the day with coffees, Kookie Ko's treats, amazing sandwiches and flatbreads and deep-dish pizza by the slice with homemade dough, which you can funk up with sauces and coleslaw, to eat-in or takeaway.
"Then on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, you can again enjoy pizza by the slice but it is unlimited for £17pp, with vegetarian and vegan options.

"We are conscious of food waste so each table has a light-up emoji that they can turn on when they want more pizza."
During the day, the 'Kookie Kabinet' treats include brownies, blondies and rocky road.
A big focus at Slice on the Lanes is supporting local businesses, with the shop front hand-painted by Kieran Harper and the logo by Rizzo Studio.

Mr Taylor added: "Customers have been very supportive so far and Bridewell Alley has a lovely feel to it."
