Plans have been lodged for almost 50 affordable flats at a derelict shoe factory in NR3.
Hemingford Group wants to demolish the former Van Dal shoe factory in Dibden Road in NR3 to make way for 48 new homes.
The development would consist of two housing blocks known as Dibden Court, and each building would be made up of a mixture of one and two-bedroom dwellings.
A total of 67 parking spaces would be provided for tenants, with the buildings proposed to be three and four storeys in height.

Vandals have targeted the former shoe factory since Van Dal moved out in 2018.
Yobs have forced entry by breaking down boards and smashing windows, while others have sprayed graffiti across the historic building.
Julie Brociek-Coulton, who represents the area for Labour at the county council, previously said: "It would be fantastic to have something in place of the derelict building.
"I think the application is really good and will benefit couples and single people alike."
Green Party city councillor Alex Catt added: "After months of break-ins and anti-social behaviour around the old shoe factory in Dibden Road, we were really pleased to see a new owner propose plans to secure the site and develop it in the long term."
