A man in his 30s was arrested for drink driving after ploughing into the entrance to a business on the outskirts of the city centre during the weekend before Christmas.
Neighbours living near the junction of City Road and Kensington Place were "shocked" to see the driver plough into the front of Pure Physiotherapy, next to the Rose Inn, on Saturday evening.
Police confirmed no one was injured in the incident but the front of the premises remains boarded up today.
Norman Mann was watching TV with his wife Trisha when they heard the crash.
The 84-year-old said: "We thought two cars had collided to begin with until we went outside to see what happened.
"The front door, which has a big window frame, had been taken off and all the brickwork had come down around it.
"The person driving must have been going quickly because there was so much damage done to the building."
Attempts to contact Pure Physiotherapy, which has clinics across the country including another in Adelaide Street in Norwich, have been made.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to City Road in Norwich at around 7.07pm on December 23 to reports a car had crashed into the front of a business premises and left the scene.

“He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and released on police bail until March 24, 2024.
"No one was injured in the incident."

He said: "She saw the car drive straight into the building, coming down from City Road towards the pub.
"I heard this big crunch and my wife called me in to see what happened and the front third of the car was buried in the building.
"By the time we got out to get a closer look, the car had already gone but someone who was outside when it happened said the car reversed out and sped off back up City Road."
