A tornado warning is in place for Norfolk as strong winds are set to hit the county.
The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation (Torro) has issued a severe weather forecast for across the south of England tonight, including Norfolk and Suffolk.
A statement from the organisation said: "The tornado risk, although low, may take on a bi-modal distribution - with one area of slightly higher risk being across East Anglia on Saturday night.
"This area will be monitored on Saturday for a possible tornado watch."
Torro defines a severe thunderstorm as producing tornadoes, hail with diameter of at least 20mm or non-tornadic winds of 55mph or more near the ground.
This follows a tornado in Manchester earlier this week as Storm Gerritt saw roofs blown off houses and trees torn down.
