A popular city event will take place at multiple venues in 2024 as The Halls, its previous base, is closed for a £3.6m revamp.

The first Norwich Games Convention took place in August 2023 at the historic venue and it was a roaring success, with 1,300 people attending.

The organisers are couple Stacey Sanderson and John Anthony and it is a celebration of board games.

They had hoped to continue hosting the convention at The Halls, but the historic building is closed for refurbishment for the whole of 2024 and until spring 2025.

This summer's event will instead be held across several venues, with the date confirmed as Saturday, August 24.

Ms Sanderson said: "Last year was fantastic and it beat all of our expectations.

"Expect local artists, exhibitors and game designers, with events throughout the day alongside open-play areas for board games and a bring-and-buy sale."

Tickets go on sale for the Norwich Games Convention 2024 in the spring.
