A coffee shop giving people a fresh chance in society after problems with addiction has opened with roaring success.
Stephen Dempster, who oversees 5:17 Coffee House in Drayton, has come through addiction himself and four years on from his rock bottom the 45-year-old has been left feeling emotional due to the opportunity he has been given.
He said: “From where I was four years ago to where I am now, it really is an overwhelming change.”
The Fakenham Road coffee shop opened today and is the product of the Christian charity Teen Challenge.
Stephen said: “The opening has been so busy! From open to close we have been full and the counter speaks for itself as there really isn’t very much leftover.”
The cafe supplies customers with the most popular items from local bakery Bread Source as well as Tombland's Blue Bear Coffee, making it a boutique-style coffee house.
Stephen continued: “Our bestsellers have most definitely been the sausage rolls, which I think we all expected.

It has opened the coffee shop between the Oops A Daisy florists and the Domino's pizza takeaway, close to the Red Lion pub.
