From drama to comedy, these hit West End plays will delight audiences at Norwich Theatre Royal in 2024.
1. The Woman in Black
When: January 15-20
The stage adaptation of Susan Hill's chilling ghost story is on tour direct from the West End, where it ran at the Fortune Theatre for 33 years.
Arthur Kipps believes a curse has been cast over him and his family, so he hires a young actor to help tell his terrifying story.

2. And Then There Were None
When: January 30-February 3
Adapted from Agatha Christie's bestselling novel, And Then There Were None follows 10 strangers who are lured to a mansion off the coast of Devon.
When a storm cuts them off from the mainland, the true reason for their presence on the island becomes clear.
The all-star cast includes Bob Barrett, who played Dr. Sacha Levy in Holby City, and Joseph Beattie (Mansfield Park, Hex, Silent Witness).
3. Adam Kay: Undoctored
When: February 13
Former doctor Adam Kay brings his new show to Norwich, following a record-breaking run at the Edinburgh Fringe and a sell-out season on the West End.
This is Going to Hurt was a literary sensation, which was adapted into a BAFTA-winning BBC series starring Ben Whishaw.
Undoctored follows on from this with more unique tales from life on and off the wards.

4. The 39 Steps
When: June 18-22
Alfred Hitchcock’s classic spy thriller is hilariously recreated for the stage in this hit play, which ran for nearly a decade on London's West End.
Follow the incredible adventures of hero Richard Hannay as he encounters dastardly murders, double-crossing secret agents and beautiful women.
Four fearless actors play 139 roles in 100 minutes of fast-paced fun.
5. Birdsong
When: November 12-16
Sebastian Faulks' epic story of love and loss returns to the stage, marking 30 years since the release of the bestselling novel of the same name.
It tells the story of one man’s journey through an all-consuming love affair and into the horror of the First World War.
While this is a new production for 2024, the play has previously run on the West End.
