A recently qualified driver has revealed she had a near miss on the outskirts of the city at the same spot where another motorist reported their car was egged.
Paige Wells, 22, had only been on the roads for two weeks when she was driving home along Reepham Road in Hellesdon alone at around 1.15am on Sunday in a Renault Clio.
She said: “I was going about 50mph when eggs and something like a bucket was thrown at my windscreen on the passenger side.
“My instinct was just to swerve, and I nearly went into a tree.”

“I just hope whoever did it now realises the seriousness of it all.”

She added she will be reporting the incident to police.
