A new supermarket could be opening at a bowling alley site in Norwich.
Plans have been submitted to open a new Lidl branch in Barnard Road, Bowthorpe, in the building currently occupied by Namco Funscape.
The application sets out plans to demolish the existing leisure centre in order to construct the supermarket.
There are currently four Lidl stores in and around Norwich after the Drayton Road site closed in April last year.
There are branches in Aylsham Road, Broadland Gate business park, Sprowston and Taverham.

The application reveals that Lidl is also seeking another site to replace the Drayton Road store as this is considered to be a different catchment area to Barnard Road, where 40 jobs are planned to be created.
It goes on to claim that the current bowling alley "does not have a viable future" although Namco Funscape does not have any current plans to vacate the site.
The site has been used as a bowling alley since it was built.
Philip Millward, director, said: "Bandai Namco Amusements Europe Ltd operate the Namco Funscape bowling facility in Norwich and anticipate continuing to trade under the lease, which does not expire until June 2027."
Lidl has been approached for comment.
