Fire crews were called to a house fire in a city estate this evening.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service were called at around 6.50pm to a blaze in Armes Street in Heigham Grove.
Crews from North Earlham, Carrow and Sprowston were all at the scene.
They wore breathing apparatus and used jets to extinguish the fire.
An ambulance and air ambulance vehicle were both at the scene where a woman was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.

A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots and to ensure that the scene was safe before the crews left.
The fire service left the area just under an hour and a half after they were called to the blaze, at around 8.20pm.
