A much-loved cafe is closing its doors after 24 years. 

Harleys cafe, in River Green in Thorpe St Andrew, has revealed that its last day of trading will be on February 4.

The Yarmouth Road business opened in June 2000 and captured the hearts of customers and employees who say they have spent many "happy times" at the cafe. 

The cafe's owner Sue Harley is retiring from the business.

In a social media post, a spokesman said: "Sue has been thinking about retiring for some time, and this year feels like the right time.

"It really has been an incredible 24 years with our little cafe, and we would like to thank you all for supporting our shop and staying with us all these years.

"We won't be leaving you all with nowhere to go as there is a wonderful business coming in with amazing ideas, so stay tuned."

They confirmed that Harleys Barbers, based next door, will not be closing.
