A shop in the city centre has been targeted by burglars twice in less than a week, resulting in thousands of pounds of damage and loss.
Irepair, a vape and electronics shop in Gentleman's Walk opposite the market, was subject to two separate break-ins, with the first seeing the business losing almost a grand's worth of vape stock.
Manager of the shop, Rythem Kaushik, first heard of the incident when a member of staff called him on Sunday, January 14.
The 35-year-old, who has managed the shop for six years, said: "The window was broken and about £800 worth of vapes had been stolen.
"Police came and the window was boarded up, but we wanted to get it fixed as soon as possible.
"Someone came round to repair it Thursday night, about 6.15pm and I was at the shop until it was finished, around 7.30pm."
However the very next day, last Friday, Mr Kaushik received another message from one of his staff telling him the window had been damaged again.
A police spokeswoman said: "We were called to reports of a burglary which happened at 5.45am on Sunday, January 14, at a shop in Gentleman’s Walk.

"Two unknown men were seen breaking into the shop and taking vape equipment.
"A window which had been smashed and repaired after the burglary, was again smashed on Friday, January 19, but nothing reported as being taken.
"Enquiries are ongoing."

Although the new, stronger, laminated glass, did its job and resulted in no more items being stolen, the added cost is a blow to the shop already struggling to get through January.
Mr Kaushik added: "With January being quiet generally and the fact we can't put out our vapes in the window it's affecting business.
"Not to mention we'll have to spend more money to get the window fixed again.
"It's unfortunately something we can't control but all the staff is extremely disappointed at what's happened."
