A huge new event launching at a venue near Norwich will be a celebration of tattoos, cars and music.

Ink and Engines Fest will take place at the Norfolk Showground over the weekend of August 17 and 18 2024.

The organisers are couples Shane and Nicola Grady, who own Cold Iron Tattoo Company in Norwich, and Daisy Bonham and Aaron Riches of wedding and event planning business Smoke & Wildwood.

Mr Grady said: "It will combine a large-scale tattoo convention with a car show, with artists from across the UK inside the venue doing live tattooing.

"Outside there will be car clubs, with everything from classics to supercars, and it is a family-friendly festival."

There will also be indoor and outdoor stages with talks, live bands, DJs and fashion shows alongside a funfair, food vendors, bars and a trade village.

Nearer the time, attendees will be able to book in for a tattoo, with some artists doing walk-ups on the day.

Mr Grady added: "There is lots of excitement around the event and tattoos and cars go hand in hand."
