A new fish and chip shop is opening near the city centre ready to serve up a slice of the seaside.
Abu Hussain, who lives in Sprowston, currently owns the Star Fish Bar in Silver Street in NR3 and has decided to take on another challenge with the Dereham Road Chippy - at the junction of Charles Square and Dereham Road.
The shop is taking over at the former Golden House takeaway - which closed three years ago - and will sell traditional cod and chips alongside southern fried chicken and other staples such as plaice and haddock.
Mr Hussain, 40, said: "I think Dereham Road is a very good area to set up another shop.

"I'm partnering up with my brother-in-law, Hamza Unnha, who will be running the new shop with me.
"We got the keys on December 31 and have been hard at work revamping the shop since - so it's been a big job.
"It's been a slow process at times, especially getting some of the materials, but we're aiming to get the shop open by the beginning of May."
Mr Hussain has spent roughly £40,000 on bringing the new shop up to scratch but added it could end up closer to £65,000 by the time the doors open to foodies.

Even with the opening a few months away, Mr Hussain is looking forward to serving the public.
He added: "There's a lot of experience here so I'm confident that when we do open it will be a success.
"We want to provide the best quality food and for a reasonable price.
"I'd also like to look at offering a delivery service in the future, but I expect it to be quite busy when we first open."
