A vibrant city venue is set to host another murder mystery night.

The Assembly House will host the 'Murder and Moonshine in the Music Room' event on Saturday, March 9.

The plot, created by theatre company Dreamstone Productions, will immerse guests in a 1920s Prohibition setting in which a local mob boss is using The Assembly House as an after-hours Speakeasy.

Participants must decide whether to accept an invitation to one of the boss's parties, knowing rival gangs and police could raid it at any time. 

Upon arrival at 7pm, guests will be welcomed into a cocktail and canape reception in the Grand Hall.

They will then be escorted into the Music Room, where they can enjoy a three-course meal during the performance.

The menu features options including a shrimp cocktail to start, a baked chicken stuffed with garlic cream cheese and chorizo for the main course and a pineapple upside-down cake for dessert.

The Assembly House has said 1920s dress and bad American accents are encouraged.

Tickets cost £65 per person and can be booked via The Assembly House website.
