The owner of an independent business has been left upset after a concrete slab was thrown through its front door during a burglary.
Skyplane Worldchoice, in Hellesdon, was broken into during the late hours of Thursday night last week.
Michael Lake, who has owned the business for 35 years, received a call about the break-in from a friend passing by the Middletons Lane shop on Friday.
Mr Lake said: "I thought he was joking at first. I got there and could see a big slab of concrete had been thrown through the bottom pane of the door.
"All the desks and chairs were turned over as well as documents and folders littered everywhere.

"I genuinely don't understand why someone would do this, the only thing which was taken was a computer monitor.
"It just seems like a random act of vandalism.
"CCTV from the nearby shops shows someone walking past before coming back a couple of minutes later with the concrete slab and he was only there for a couple of minutes."
The business was closed Friday for police and a repairman to fix the glass pane - costing Mr Lake £270.
Mr Lake continued: "I've run this business for 35 years and when it happened I just sat there with my head in my hands thinking what I might have done to deserve this.

"But the more I think about it, it's likely just mindless vandalism.
"Thankfully I've had fantastic support from people on social media and am now just trying to put it to the back of my mind."
A police spokeswoman confirmed the burglary is believed to have happened at 11.50pm on Thursday, February 15.
They added: "An investigation is under way and witnesses or anyone with dashcam/CCTV footage can contact Norfolk Police quoting crime reference 36/10943/24 via our website, 101, Crimestoppers or email at: adam.holbrook@norfolk.police.uk."
