New 24-hour CCTV surveillance at rubbish dumping "hot spots" are set to be installed as part of an ongoing push to tackle fly-tipping.
As part of its £100,000 Love Norwich campaign, the city council is pressing on with installing CCTV in places that suffer from the blight of fly-tipping, which can bring fines of up to £1,000.
The authority is writing to folk in six priority areas asking for thoughts on proposed CCTV in Normandie Tower, Springbank, Douro Place, Marlpit Lane, Bowers Avenue and Heathgate.
Once installed, the CCTV cameras will capture footage of a high enough quality to identify vehicle number plates.

Emma Hampton, cabinet member for climate change at Labour-controlled Norwich City Council, said: "Environmental crime is not victimless.
"Dumping waste without any thought given to the impact on the community and wildlife is a blight on our neighbourhoods.
"The people of Norwich deserve to be empowered to take pride in their neighbourhoods and love where they live.
"We hope the launch of these video-monitored sites sends a clear message to the inconsiderate individuals who perpetrate the selfish crime of dumping waste irresponsibly.

"This CCTV footage will provide evidence of fly-tipping, leading to fixed penalty notices and the council will not tolerate this criminal behaviour."
The CCTV can also be moved to new target sites as the crackdown expands across the city.
Last week the council launched the Love Norwich online hub for communities to get involved with attempts to tidy up public areas and combat crime.
Adam Giles, cabinet member for communities and social inclusion at the city council, added: "‘The Love Norwich hub - a one-stop-shop - gives everyone the opportunity to easily report issues such as fly-tipping, abandoned vehicles, as well as tips on how to dispose and recycle waste."
The council is also considering introducing more community skips after the success of a trial run alongside Flagship Services in Cadge Road.
