The housing association in charge of dealing with a woman's rat-infested home has apologised and arranged for "further visits" to rectify the issue.
Kayleigh Clarke moved to her home in Sprowston five years ago, where she lives with her 18-month-old son and four-year-old daughter.
But in February the 26-year-old caught one of the rodents running up the stairs towards her and her daughter after noticing evidence of rats in the house the month before, leaving the family "traumatised".
The housing association, Clarion, apologised for the issues and said it is doing everything it can to help.
A spokesman for Clarion said: "We're very sorry that Ms Clarke has been experiencing issues with pests in her home and the disruption she's facing.
"We understand her frustration and are determined to resolve this issue.
"Clarion takes all reports of this nature seriously and our local team have been working hard to resolve this case, including visits to the property and works being carried out.
"When the issue was first reported in early January we passed the case on to our pest controllers who confirmed low level pest activity.
"After this our local team visited on January 17 to block points of entry that had been identified and install poison traps.

"After this, pest controllers attended in early February and found no pest activity.
"After Ms Clarke reported more rats two weeks later this was confirmed by pest controllers and further proofing works and a drain survey were carried out.

"Our local response team have since attended again and a further two pest control visits are scheduled.
"Our repairs operatives will visit again on Wednesday and a further visit from our specialist pest controllers is being arranged as soon as possible.
"We have also offered Ms Clarke a deep clean of her property."
Kayleigh continues to live with her sister while the issue is sorted.
