A city cafe and bar has been closed less than a year since it was reopened.
The Surrey Bar and Kitchen, in Surrey Street, permanently shut down on Friday.
It comes just 10 months after the business reopened in June 2023 - and six months after it relaunched following an extensive refurbishment and acquisition of an alcohol licence.
A spokesman for the venue said: "It is with much regret that we announce the permanent closure of the Surrey Bar and Kitchen as of March 1, 2024.

"We are extremely proud of what we have accomplished since opening last year, so this has been a difficult decision to make.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your loyal custom and to wish you all the very best."
Previously The Surrey Tavern from 1851 until 2016, the business changed into The Surrey Kitchen and Bar in 2018 before reopening at the beginning of June.

The business operated as a cafe for the first few months while the owners waited for an alcohol licence.
It closed from September 25 for renovation until October 2, reopening with a full bar.
The managers of the venue have been contacted for comment.
