A neighbour dispute on a Norwich residential road saw a man wield a stick studded with razor blades.
Adrian Howes, 61, admitted threatening one of his neighbours on Shorncliffe Avenue using the makeshift weapon during a row on April 6.
Norwich Magistrates’ Court was told razor blades had been embedded into the stick before it was used.
He also threw an item to smash a neighbour’s window as part of an effort to “seek revenge”, said prosecutor Josephine Jones.

The court heard concerns had previously been raised about his behaviour on the Mile Cross street.
Rachel Buck, mitigating, said he had lived in the street for 20 years but animosity had grown with a neighbour who moved in five years ago.
It had come to a head over allegations of the theft of an electric bike, she added.
The court was told Howes had suffered mental issues and had told police he had been given permission to seek revenge from God.
He was banned from an area of Mile Cross and from contact with his neighbour until he is sentenced on June 12.
