A new "continental beer bar" expanding from a popular Norwich Market stall is set to open in the city centre next month.
Business partners Toby Westgarth and Dominic Burke unveiled plans last October for the new bar at 42 King Street, called Bier Draak.
Now the duo, who own Sir Toby's Beers at the market, have confirmed when their latest venture will begin.
Mr Burke said: "Work started about a month ago and it's starting to pick up pace a bit.
"Everything is going well so far and we're very happy with the progress.
"It's been quite a surprise how many people are excited about it and have been asking about our plans.
"I know we've been keeping people guessing for quite a while now but it's only been a week since we were able to get a date down and have that to work towards.
"There will be an invite-only launch party, for our crowd-funder investors on May 11 and, all being well, we'll be open to the public on May 12.

"We want to have 14 different beers on tap available for opening day.
"It feels a little overwhelming but it's kind of to be expected and we've got a fair bit more to do to keep us busy.
"Once it's all said and done we will have invested around £25,000."
The venue was previously a cocktail bar named 42, between 2011 and 2019, prior to that it was Cafe Du Commerce and, before that, Femi's restaurant.

It will also feature a range of draught and bottled German and Belgian beers, alongside a selection of cold meats and cheeses.
The pair also took on the Stanford Arms pub in 2021 and a bar at street food venue East Point Pavilion in 2022, both in Lowestoft.
People can still support the project and get a 50pc bonus on a bar tab through the Sir Toby's Beers website.
