A football fan in his 60s was injured after being slashed in the neck following the play-off semi-final between Norwich and Leeds at Carrow Road.
Posts have been widely circulated on social media showing a man bleeding from an assault.

Norfolk Police said just after 2pm on Sunday a man aged in his 60s reported being punched outside the stadium in Carrow Road.
A spokesman said an object is also believed to have been thrown at the victim who suffered a cut to his chin.
The victim was seen by paramedics at the scene and did not require further medical treatment.
A man aged in his late teens was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault GBH and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
A man aged in 50s was also arrested at the scene on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Both men remain in custody.
Officers believe another man was also involved in the incident and enquiries are ongoing to find him.
An investigation has been launched to establish the full circumstances of exactly what happened.

The reference to Galatasary relates to violence before the 2000 UEFA Cup semi-final violence in Istanbul, Turkey, that led to two Leeds fans being stabbed to death.
Leeds supporters have been subjected to taunts from opposing fans about the fatal stabbings.
