City fans have voiced fears for their safety at Thursday's play-off match in Leeds after an away supporter was attacked at the end of the Carrow Road tie.
A football fan in his 60s was injured after an object was thrown at him, following a 0-0 draw in the play-off semi-final on Sunday.
The incident, which has been slammed as "appalling behaviour" by City fan groups, has even given some fans pause for thought on attending the second leg at Elland Road this week.
Robin Sainty, chairman of the Canaries Trust tweeted out after the incident, said: "It's absolutely appalling behaviour.
"The biggest concern we have is that tensions will flare up even more ahead of the return leg.
There is NO place for this at a football match, or in any other walk of life.

Our thoughts are with the victim and the entire @LUFC @lufctrust family. Let us all hope that the perpetrators are caught and that justice is served. #marchingontogetherhttps://t.co/fTmr5uEY1E
"We have to ensure things don't get out of hand and supporters going to Leeds are safe - we want to de-escalate this as soon as possible.
"I've spoken to our counterparts at Leeds who will be speaking to the club and hopefully we can pour some water on this fire.
"With any group of supporters you're going to get hot heads but this is unacceptable there's no question about it."
Two men - one man in his teens and another in his 50s - were arrested at the scene while officers believe another man was also involved in the incident and enquiries are ongoing to find him.
We came out of Carrow Road after the game to Chants of Turks with knives and Galatasary.. whilst asking the lads why it was said my dad was slashed in the neck with a blade and hit by a full can… @LUFC

"I don't understand why someone would do something like this - it's just such a stupid thing to do.
"A major worry is for any fans going to the Elland Road later this week - I'd honestly advise people not to go.

"I hope it will still turn out to be a good day for anyone going, because it should be a really good game, which is now marred by this.
"It's definitely not right."
An investigation has been launched to establish the full circumstances of exactly what happened and officers are keen to speak to any witnesses or anybody in the area at the time with any information or phone footage of the incident.
