A police cordon was in place outside a city bookshop this morning.
Police cordoned off the Waterstones shop in Norwich's Castle Street and a number of officers were seen waiting outside the premises.
Eyewitnesses said there did not appear to be any smashed windows or damage to the front of the building.
Nearby traders said they did not know why the cordon was in place as police refused to tell them.
The store reopened at around midday.
The reason for the police presence currently remains unknown but Norfolk Constabulary and Waterstones have been contacted for comment.
