A busy city retail park is set to get a new drive-through coffee shop after council bosses gave it their stamp of approval.
Costa lodged an application with Norwich City Council earlier this year for a branch in the Hall Road Retail Park car park in Tuckswood, near Home Bargains and Food Warehouse.
This would result in the loss of 41 parking bays but the council has approved the chain's bid with few objections.
As part of the consultation, Norfolk Police said calming measures should be considered to prevent vehicle misuse, such as installing rumble strips and bollards around the drive-through.

Mark Dunthorne, the council's arboricultural officer, said: "This application presents an opportunity to replace some mediocre trees with some good quality specimens, so, no objections from me."
Overall, planning bosses decided that the design of the building is suitable for the retail park and remains in keeping with the brand's identity while offering suitable access for vehicles to the drive-through and pedestrians to and from the front entrance and terrace area.
The new Costa would be open from 5am until 11pm, seven days a week, and is expected to employ nine full-time members of staff.
