A second man in his 30s was arrested on Sunday and taken to Wymondham Police Station.

Stuart Brittain, 35 of Bowman Road, Norwich, has been charged with GBH.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court today.

Describing the scene that morning, a woman who lives in Theobald Road and wished to remain anonymous said: "It was absolutely manic.

"My little boy said 'there's all these cars in the road' and I looked outside and there must have been at least eight police cars, two rapid response vehicles, men with guns, a critical care van - the lot."
