A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a van in the city centre.
Emergency services have been called to a crash in Canary Way near the junction with Koblenz Avenue, near Carrow Road stadium and the rail station.
The police and ambulance services received reports at 4.10pm that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle.
Officers and paramedics are still on scene, with heavy rush-hour traffic congestion.
An eyewitness has reported that the man sustained a head injury among other injuries.
The police have confirmed that the incident has not caused "life-threatening" injuries.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called just after 4pm with reports of a road traffic collision on Canary Way in Norwich involving a van and a pedestrian.
“An ambulance, an ambulance officer vehicle and a rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene.
"One patient was transported to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further care.”
