A major city road has been closed for emergency gas repairs.
The A140 Cromer Road in Norwich was closed on Wednesday evening between The Boundary and Fifers Lane so that the repairs could take place.
The works, being carried out by Cadent, are expected to be completed later today.
A spokesman for Cadent said: “Yesterday afternoon we responded to a report of a smell of gas in Cromer Road, Norwich.

"Cadent engineers took immediate action to make everything safe and have carried out emergency repairs to stop the gas escape.
“We are in the process of refilling and resurfacing the road which we expect to be completed later today.
"We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work as safely and as efficiently as we can to get this resolved as soon as possible."
Local bus company, Sanders Coaches, posted on social media earlier today that the road closure was causing heavy delays to their services "due to poor traffic conditions on the available diversion routes".
Traffic is currently being diverted through Reepham Road but the road has reportedly become "gridlocked".
Reepham Road is also set to close at 7pm this evening until 5am tomorrow for road resurfacing works.
