A city shop is set to expand into a bigger site as the demand for sustainable and wasteless shopping continues to soar.
Ernie's Zero Waste Shop has announced that it is set to move for the second time in its five years of life.
After the first store was opened in Magdalen Street by partners Graham Rutherford and Laura Colman in 2019, the brand proved increasingly popular, with the Ernie's team deciding to move to a shop five times bigger in Anglia Square in 2021.
Now, it has been announced that Ernie's is on the move again - but only a few doors down.
"Some of you might already know or have worked it out but we are moving to new premises - but don't worry we are only moving about 10m away to the old Shoe Zone/Pricilla Bacon shop in Anglia Square!" reads the announcement on Facebook.
"We've run out of storage space and it limits what we can sell and how much stock we can keep.

"This sometimes leads to us running out of stock of certain items and this can be frustrating for everyone.
"The new space has a massive stock room which will enable us to hold more stock and buy in bigger quantities which can make it cheaper."
While specific dates are yet to be fully confirmed, the post announced that the shop would be moving to the new site "very soon" with the current plan to see the site at 24 Anglia Square closing on Wednesday or Thursday and the new store opening on Saturday, June 1.
"As always thank you SO MUCH for your ongoing support," finished the announcement.
"We are so excited to have a bigger space for you all to explore and can't wait to crack on with it."
