A long-serving BBC Radio Norfolk presenter has announced a new job and hinted at further changes to the station's Norwich City coverage next season.
Long-serving Canary Call presenter Rob Butler tweeted on Monday that he had accepted a new sports role at BBC Radio Five Live in Salford.
He added this would mean BBC Radio Norfolk will have "a different sound with some new (and old) voices from the start of next season".

Bit of news…
— Rob Butler (@BobRutler) May 27, 2024
I’ve accepted the offer of a job attachment at @5liveSport for a big summer of sport and beyond. Cannot wait!
Our #ncfc coverage on @BBCNorfolk will have a different sound with some new (and old) voices from the start of next season.
Off to Salford I go… 🫡
Butler has worked for BBC Radio Norfolk for more than a decade, following the ups and downs of the football team through the eyes of fans on shows including The Scrimmage and Canary Call.
It is unclear whether Butler will remain working for BBC Radio Norfolk alongside his new role, saying he had "accepted the offer of a job attachment" for a "big summer of sport and beyond".

The Paris Olympics and the men's football European Championship will be big parts of that busy summer schedule.

Both Butler and the BBC have been approached for comment.
The announcement follows fellow long-serving BBC Radio Norfolk presenter Chris Goreham stepping away from presenting The Scrimmage last season.
Goreham remains the station's Canaries commentator and breakfast show presenter, with Butler continuing The Scrimmage alongside Chris Reeve from the Talk Norwich City fan channel.
