Norwich has been named one of the most underrated spots for a weekend break in the UK.

The city was recognised in an article by The Telegraph which highlighted 10 unsung corners of the country.

The article noted Norwich's rich history and culture, nodding to the Roman grapevines which used to grow in the region.

It also drew comparisons between this history and Norwich's current annual Wine Week, offering a number of talks and tastings across the city from June 14 to June 16 this year.

The Telegraph also suggested visitors stop by Yalm, the lively food hall in the Royal Arcade, and recommended people stay at The Assembly House.

Norwich has been included in a variety of similar lists in recent years, being named one of the most exciting cities in the world by The Times in January and featuring in the Sunday Times' Best Places to Live list in March.
