5 outdoor cinemas coming to Norfolk over summer 2024

Touring company Adventure Cinema is back for its sixth summer season, with 260 outdoor screenings in 65 unique locations. 

The films at Holkham Hall are the original Top Gun on Friday, Back to the Future on Saturday and Pretty Woman on Sunday.

2. Whitlingham Country Park

Where: Whitlingham Lane, Trowse, NR14 8TR

When: July 27: 6pm/July 28: 12noon and 3.30pm

Three screenings will take place on the field next to Flint Barn Café and there is a charge for parking.

The films are Mamma Mia! on Saturday evening and Encanto followed by The Greatest Showman on Sunday afternoon.

3. Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden

When: July 27: 8.30pm, August 25: 8pm, August 31: 7.30pm

Watch blockbuster films surrounded by nature at this picturesque outdoor cinema.

The screenings are The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, starring Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Bill Nighy, The Life of Pi and Shrek.

4. Dunston Hall

Where: Dunston Hall, Norwich, NR14 8PQ

When: August 16-18, 7.15pm

The Adventure Cinema's other Norfolk venue in 2024 is Dunston Hall, on the outskirts of Norwich.

Watch The Greatest Showman on Friday, with a special sing-a-long version, Mamma Mia! on Saturday and Pretty Woman on Sunday.

Cinema City is hosting screenings in Norwich's secret garden over two consecutive weekends.

The line-up is Jaws (August 30), The Lost Boys (August 31), Wonka (September 1), Stop Making Sense: Talking Heads Concert Film (September 7) and Barbie (September 8), with the September 6 film yet to be revealed.
