Further details have emerged of a 34-home development on the outskirts of the city.

Eight "luxury" homes in the converted Drayton Old Lodge, a historic manor house in Drayton High Road, were put on the market in 2021.

The lodge was divided up into townhouses and apartments by Norwich-based Wilson Development, the team that transformed the Dial House in Reepham, the Assembly House in Norwich, Byford’s and the King's Head in Holt and the Pigs in Edgefield.

However, a further 26 homes are in various stages of development in the grounds of the old lodge and the developers have now announced the timeline for the rest of the building work.

Described as "exclusive" and "luxurious", the starting price for the apartments inside the converted manor house was marketed at £475,000, with Wensum View - one of the most impressive new-build plots on the site with woodland and valley views - sold for around £950,000.

All of the homes built inside the former manor house are no longer on the market, with Jamie Perry, site director, saying in 2021 that they were already "seeing a high demand".

A further 10 homes are set to be built on the site before the end of 2025, six of which will be detached and four will form a small terrace.

The final five detached homes in the 'walled garden' part of the development are timetabled to be completed in 2026.

The homes are all eco-friendly and sustainable, built with the latest technology, including air-source heat pumps, mechanical ventilation and heat recovery systems and super-fast broadband with cabling throughout.

The homes are going on the market with Norfolk estate agency Sowerbys.
