The fight over a car park earmarked for two new homes rages on as more than 30 people lodge their objections.
Plans for two flats and garages to be built in The Square in Thorpe Marriott were submitted in March and soon proved controversial.
The one-bed flats would be on the first floor above the garages and feature an open-plan kitchen, living room and dining area, as well as a bathroom, hallway and storage cupboards.
TM Property Management describes the proposed car park section - which serves the Tesco Express, The Otter pub, the community centre and The Trinity Church Centre - as "underutilised".
A petition started by Stephanie George on Change.org in April has surpassed 330 signatures, with dozens also taking to the Broadland District Council's planning portal to object to the plans.
Many have told the authority that the car park is "often busy" and raised concerns about drivers parking outside nearby homes due to the loss of parking spaces.
Stuart Clancy, county councillor for Taverham and Thorpe Marriott, has strongly opposed the plans.

"This proposed development will be extremely damaging to the retail shops in the square, reducing car parking and having a detrimental impact on the local business centre," he said.
"The recent parking restrictions have been both confusing and potentially damaging to local businesses, and any further reduction in the local parking facilities will disincentivise shopping locally."
Both Trinity Church Centre and Taverham Parish Council have also lodged objections to the building, raising alarm at the impact a huge loss of parking spaces will have on the shops, pub and community centre.
According to Broadland's planning portal, the council aimed to decide about the build by May 15.
