A busy route to Norwich Airport will see further disruptions next week as a nine-mile diversion is put in place while roadworks are carried out.

The A140 Cromer Road in Hellesdon is set to close for several days of roadworks next week.

The roadworks, which will cost Norfolk County Council £83,234, will see the road close on June 10, June 11 and June 12 between 9.30pm and 3.30pm.

The works, which will involve a rejuvenator being sprayed onto the surface to extend the life of the road, will prevent people from parking on the Cromer Road and Mayfield Avenue junction to the northern Norwich Airport Park and Ride entrance.

The northbound diversion route follows the A1042 Mile Cross Lane, A1042 Chartwell Road, A1151 Wroxham Road, A1270 Broadland Northway onto the A140 Cromer Road.

Southbound traffic will be open for the duration of the works and access to properties will be maintained, although delays may be possible.
