The landlords of a village pub are celebrating a year behind the bar with a weekend of live music and local food.
The Kings Head in Blofield was taken over by Richard and Steven Hogg, who are both chefs, in July last year and the pair wanted to make it Norfolk’s next foodie destination.
Richard said the pub has had a “really great year” and they have some more “big ideas” for the future.
“It's a difficult industry to be in at the moment with the way pubs have been closing down,” he said.
"But business has been going really well. Our Sunday roasts are quite popular and we're aiming for a rosette.
“This year has been really great and going forward we have some more big ideas in the pipeline."
The anniversary bash on July 20 and July 21 will include a guest appearance from Leon Mallet who has just gone viral with his East Anglian Boy song.
A cider and sausage festival will take place throughout the weekend and ice creams will be available from the Lakenham Creamery.
“I thought it would be a great idea to celebrate our first anniversary by getting everyone in the beer garden for the weekend,” Richard said.
“We’re just trying to bring the city vibe to a small country pub with talented musicians and decent food.
"We’re hoping for a good turnout and hopefully all the locals will come and join in."
The celebration starts at midday on both days and runs until 8pm, with live music from 2pm to 7pm.
A new menu is also being launched and there will be live music in the beer garden every Sunday afternoon this summer.
